From The High School:

Four St. John students recently had the opportunity to attend the Louisiana Association of Student Councils summer workshop at Northwestern State in Natchitoches, LA from June 1-5, 2008. Senior Pat Riojas and Juniors Hannah Pitre, Coco Nicholas and Joshua Oubre were able to interact with student leaders across the state during this five-day leadership workshop. While there, the students gained insight into different leadership styles as well as various activities and projects used by student council organizations across the state. Lasting friendships were formed according to Pat Riojas, who said he would definitely keep in touch with several of the people he met. Although hesitant about going at first, Hannah Pitre said she had such a great time she "didn't want to come home" by the end of the workshop. All of the students agreed that the workshop was a worthwhile experience that they will remember for a long time to come.

From The Middle School:

Colby Landry and Brandon D'Albor are the students in the first picture. Elementary/Middle school principal, Bernardine Legendre stated "I spoke with both of them and they had a great time and brought home many ideas and activities for our student council for the upcoming year. They will be meeting soon with our Student Council sponsors to start making plans for the beginning of school."
