The primary goal of Catholic education is to strive for the development of the whole person, stressing unique giftedness and recognizing the dignity of each individual. The faculty of St. John, in working toward attaining that goal, recognizes that the gospel values that Jesus taught and lived are the foundation of its religious orientation and that these values must be inherent in all areas of instruction.

The schools of the Catholic Diocese of Baton Rouge admit students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs and activities generally accorded or made available to students at its schools.  They do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national and ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, scholarship and loan programs, and athletic and other school administered programs.
