Penny Party Rescheduled to Friday, November 8!

Due to inclement weather, the Penny Party has been rescheduled to Friday, November 8! All pre-sale bracelets and tickets will be honored on the new date; there will not be an additional pre-sale, and bracelets and tickets will be available at the Penny Party. Students in all grades will have a casual day.



T-Shirts for this year's Penny Party are on sale now! Orders are due by Friday, October 11. Please use the attached order form to get yours!


The St. John Penny Party will be held on Friday, October 25, from 11:00-2:30.  Students will be dismissed after their lunch periods to attend the Penny Party.


∗   WE NEED YOUR HELP! – Please volunteer to help with the Penny Party.  We need parents/grandparents to supervise the inflatables and help with the games.  Parents can sign up for the entire day or for any time slot you are available. We also need volunteers to make treats for the sweet booth and cakes for the cakewalk.  Remember, parents receive 1 service hour for any treat or cake donated. This is the Home and School Association’s biggest fundraiser. The money raised at the Penny Party is used to support our school, especially our teachers. .  Volunteers will be needed to work the booths on the day of the Penny Party, and to “set up” before the party and to “tear down” afterwards. This event is attended by all students, Pre-K 3-high school. If you would like to volunteer, please fill out the slip below and return to school.  This is a great way to earn your service hours! If you are a new parent at St. John, it is also a great way to get to know lots of other parents at our school. Any help that anyone can give is greatly appreciated.


∗   ATTRACTIONS FOR THIS YEAR’S PENNY PARTY- This year we will have a combo inflatable slide and spacewalk, inflatable football toss, a carousel, and a train for grades Pre-K 3 to 3rd grade for a $12 bracelet.  Students in grades 4 through 8 may purchase a $12 bracelet to enjoy Laser Tag, video games (Game Truck), and the Human Foosball game.  These bracelets will be available for Pre-sale starting Wednesday, October 9. We encourage you to order your bracelets before the day of the Penny Party.  If you would like to purchase Pre-sale bracelets, please be sure to fill out the attached order form and send it in an envelope with the amount enclosed.


∗   PENNY PARTY FOOD AND GAME TICKETS- Tickets are being sold for Penny Party games and food.  The tickets cost 50 cents each. The cost of the games and food will vary, so the students will need different amounts of tickets, depending on the game they want to play and the food they want to purchase.  If you would like to purchase Pre-sale tickets, please fill out the attached order form and send in an envelope with the amount enclosed. 




∗  PENNY PARTY RAFFLE- - The items to be raffled are a Girls bike, Boys bike, Apple Watch, 40-inch TV, Fall Wreath, Gift Cards & More!

The tickets are $2 for one or 3 for $5.  The raffle tickets are attached and will go home with your child.  Tickets may be turned into the school. The last day to turn in raffle tickets is Thursday, October 24.
